MARCHE IN VIDEO
Marche is a region situated on the east side of Italy. This region presents an amazing landscape where sea, mountains and hills perfectly blend together.
Marche in Video is a Web TV platform that tries to highlight all the beauty of this region through videos that show another side of this uncontaminated gem in the heart of Italy, which has still not been spoilt by mass tourism.
CHALLENGE
This platform needed a branding that would capture the variety of what this region has to offer, while trying to reach an audience of younger travellers that would be interested in discovering a different style of travelling, with insights from local people, and by going off the beaten track. Marche in Video wants to present the architecture and landscape of Marche, but also wants to take the audience inside houses to meet real people who live in the region.
Working together with the founders of the brand, it was useful to gather information about their product and the direction of the business. They wanted to position themselves for an alternative niche of travellers who are curious to discover authentic places and their traditions, through a more conscious way of travelling.
SOLUTION
The concept of the design was to create an appealing and modern logo that could present all the features and the variety of the territory. At the heart of the visual identity is the triangular shape that can be at the same time a mountain, hill and sea or the ‘play’ sign for videos. Marche is a region with a beautiful seaside, amazing countryside, and spectacular mountains, so I thought it would be best to summarise the essence of the landscape with a short logo that could be animated and have different interpretations.
The logo is developed to be animated for the intro of the videos they create and it was used for collateral, advertising and the blog.
